ABOUT
THE PORTRAYAL OF MENTAL ILLNESSES IN THE MEDIA
Over recent decades, there has been an increased focus on how the media portrays mental illnesses; specifically, how their portrayal in the media has impacted both the people that are diagnosed with a mental disorder and those that are not.
We seek to raise awareness of this global issue and to encourage members of the public to think more critically about the reality and severity of mental illness before passing judgement on those diagnosed with it.
